The Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Center (GCCEC) is a state of the art conference and exhibition center. In February 2012 they upgraded their information systems to include free Wi Fi throughout the facility. This is a courtesy service designed to give everyone access to email and web surfing, it is not the recommended solution for presentations, audio, or video. For more information intensive applications there are cabled LAN lines going to every room in the facility.
Let the center know what your technology needs are and they will accommodate you. Services include video conferencing, Multifunction Copier hire, and VoIP/Analogue telephone rental. If you need something more specific let your event coordinator know and IT will make every attempt to provide you with an appropriate solution.
The centre is custom built with the end user in mind. The GCCEC can be adapted to suit all needs. It is the largest regional events centre in Australia in the resort capital of the nation. The GCCEC has set the bar for todays conferencing needs.
Some key features you will find at the Gold Coast Conference & Exhibition Centre are custom Arena seating that can accommodate up to 6,000 guests, or be broken down into three separate spaces. One grand hall gives 6,345 square metres of space and can be divided into four different halls. Meeting rooms of varying sizes. Outdoor parks with lush greens and seascapes in the background. State of the art wireless technology, on-site audio and visual experts, and 1400 covered car parks. Shuttle services and private coach hire can be arranged for all size groups.
Additional facilities for parents and disabled persons are on-site. Parents are provided basic facilities for changing and nursing. Person’s with disabilities have access to the centres facilities with wheelchair access throughout, signs in Braille, and a mobile hearing augmentation system clears reception all over the venue.
The flexibility of the GCCEC is great. Small meetings of 10 people or conventions with 6,000 delegates attending can be accommodated with ease. With state of the art facilities, and multiple spaces that can be separated or merged to house the most complicated corporate events the Gold Coast Conference & Exhibition Center draws 50% more delegates to events held there than any other convention center in Australia.

The Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Center is the first convention center in the world to earn the Earth Check Gold Certificate. This aligns the GCCEC with world standards for “Event Sustainability Management”

There are plenty of events already scheduled at the The Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Center for 2015. Two events are happening 30 January to 1 February. The Gold Coast Health Harmony Soul Festival $18 admission, and the Gold Coast Food & Wine Expo $20 admission, or see both shows for a discount rate of only $23 for access to both. The health festival will have psychic readers, seminars, performances, workshops, and classes on meditation and yoga. The food & wine expo will have 150 vendors including, Wine Makers, Distributors, Gourmet Restaurants, Coffee, Chocolate, and Candy & Tea.
