Gift and Homewares Expo

This years Gift and Homewares Expo takes place at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from Sat 4th to Tue 7th July.

Home to what will be close to 160 presentation areas, the event will provide a concentrated focused area to connect with new buyers and to strengthen relationships with existing contacts.

Seen by many as the perfect platform to launch new products and services, the Gift and Homewares Expo enjoys the status as the region’s premier event.

The well-known renovation duo of Michael and Carlene Duffy will be attending this years event. Visitors are sure to be able to pick up useful tips and suggestions as the hosts of Channel Nine’s, The Block Glasshouse provide a hand’s on experience.

Creative Generation – State Schools Onstage

Located at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Creative Generation literally take to the stage from the 12th – 19th July.

This years performance sees a collaboration of some of the brightest dance and musical talents around, including Li Cunxin, Artistic Director of Queensland Ballet and James Morrison AM, Artistic Director of QMF.

Exploring the relationship between music and dance, 200 specially selected performers from Queenslands State Schools will include hip hop, Irish dance, samba, tap and jazz into what promises to be a breathtaking show.

To add further prestige to the event, James Morrison is looking for a talented strumpet player, whom he will personally mentor and perform with during a special segment at the CGEN shows.

Brisbane Broncos v West Tigers

Sporting fans are in for a treat at the Suncorp stadium on Sunday 19th July, with lucky ticket holders being able to witness the Brisbane Broncos take on the West Tigers.

With the main event kicking off at 4pm, guests are advised to travel early to avoid being caught up in the huge crowds. Thankfully, there is plenty to keep visitors amused with the preliminary game starting just 15 mins after the gates open at 1:45pm.

In-from Broncos will surely be looking to keep their fine season form going as they take on a mid-table Tiger’s side. Upsets do happen from time to time; however, CEO Paul White will be hoping this isn’t the case.

Queensland Ballet – Peter Pan

Wendy and her two brothers literally fly into the adventure of a lifetime when the Queensland Ballet host Peter Pan between 26th June and 11th July.

Fun is certainly on the agenda, for the entire family. Although the main characters haven’t grown up, Trey McIntyre’s reenactment certainly has.

Giant puppet, breathtaking flying scenes and bags of swashbuckling all add up to create an individual take on one of the most loved children’s stories ever.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

Celebrating what will be it’s 10th anniversary is the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

This years event takes place Sun 23rd through to Fri 28th August and promises to be the best delivered event yet.

As you might expect with anything connected to the German Automobile giant, some of the most well-known and respected fashion houses will be present.
